Surf's Up bij Shannon Vos' eigentijdse Aussie Outdoor Oasis

Interieurontwerper Shannon Vos definieert zijn stijl als verfijnd en gedurfd. Zijn op de natuur geïnspireerde ontwerpen hielpen hem niet alleen de Australische designcompetitieshow, The Block Glasshouse, te winnen, maar hadden alle drie de juryleden het erover eens dat Voss-ontwerpen een van de beste ooit in de televisieserie zijn. Vos koos ervoor om het meeste uit zijn COVID-19-lockdown te halen door een eigentijdse, onderhoudsarme onderhoud ruimte te ontwerpen voor zijn groeiende gezin om te ontspannen, te zwemmen en herinneringen te maken die een leven lang meegaan.

“ Vos wilde zijn natuurlijke esthetiek en wens om een onderhoud patio te creëren in balans brengen en koos Trex Transcend®-terrasvloeren in de kleur Gravel Path om zijn handgeverfde zwembad te omringen. (Opmerking: de kleur “Gravel Path” is niet meer beschikbaar. Met een terras van Trex hoeft Vos nooit tijd te besteden aan het schuren of oliën van zijn terras. Bovendien is elk bord ontworpen om rot, kromtrekken, schimmels en splinters te elimineren die houten dekken plagen, vooral in de Australische hitte.

De buitenoase van Vos heeft talloze unieke designelementen. Het meest opmerkelijk, zijn aangepaste pool. Dit zwembad is geschilderd in straatkunststijl en vormt de basis voor eindeloze zomeravonden in de buitenlucht. 

Het ingewikkelde terrasvloeren op de trap roept u op om in een privé-oase te stappen, weg van de stress van de dag. Vos deelt dat dit aangepaste ontwerp een "bewijs is van de veelzijdigheid en compatibiliteit van het terrasvloeren".

Een verticaal houten hek leidt bezoekers naar het prachtige gebied van de achtertuin, terwijl glazen leuningen vervagen op de achtergrond voor een naadloos uitzicht op het zwembad.

De laatste sleutel tot de geïnspireerde ruimte van Vos is geen ontwerpkenmerk, maar wat erin zit. Bij het selecteren van de producten voor zijn patio-renovatie stond bouwen met milieuvriendelijke producten voorop. Naast de esthetische en prestatievoordelen van terrasvloeren, vond Vos het geweldig dat elk bord is gemaakt van 95% gerecycled plasticfolie en gerecycled hout.
